Gondola guide

One of the highest cable cars in the world

A two-stage gondola takes you to nearly 4,000 metres on Mount Apharwat. Ride it to the top and you have roughly 900 vertical metres of open terrain between you and the mid-station at Kongdori.

The upper mountain, reached by Phase 2 of the gondola

Phase 1 and Phase 2

Phase 1 climbs to Kongdori. Phase 2 continues toward Apharwat Peak. Foreign nationals typically pay a different rate. The entry fee for a foreigner is around INR 1,210. A ride on Phase 1 costs about ₹800–860, and Phase 2 costs an additional ₹1,000–1,060. Prices can change — confirm before you travel.

Book tickets online in advance to avoid long queues, especially for Phase 2, which often sells out. Going early in the morning means clearer views and shorter waits. We’ll sort tickets and timing so you’re on one of the first cabins up.

When it doesn’t run

The gondola runs most days in season, but high winds or poor visibility can close the upper section. Build a spare day into your trip. The top is close to 4,000 metres, so take the first day gently and save the summit for day two.
